About my life and what I'm looking for

I'm witty, direct and tend to be kind of a planner, in spite of wanting to be spontaneous. I spent most of this summer in South America (Ecuador, for my grad program) and would like to keep working on Spanish to do more work there in the future. I'm looking for a guy (friend or more) with integrity and character, but also someone who can make a fool of himself and have fun (yet still have some class).

Ideal friends/dates are in good physical shape (I used to run ultras but am rather sadly out of shape right now...trying to get back into it and pick up cycling, too) and have a great sense of humor (will make bad puns with me?), and be capable of carrying a thoughtful conversation. I value open, warm, compassionate folks who are conscientious and caring. I love hearing new music, and would welcome help learning guitar.

I'm in a graduate program focusing on public health (epidemiology and environmental health)...not entirely sure what I'll be doing after this degree. I don't tend to sleep late or waste much time. Even though I can be quite social, I really value my quiet time and alone time. I would be most compatible with someone who keeps a pretty active lifestyle but who is easygoing and has a quirky, fun sense of humor. I haven't watched TV since I was in Jr. High (seriously), so I'm a little out of the loop re: mainstream media. It's a somewhat comfortable rock that I live under. I love being outdoors and while on a day-to-day basis I'm pretty low maintenance, I like to jazz it up once in a while for special occasions.
