About my life and what I'm looking for

I jumped on match in an attempt to meet new people and take a chance. I'll never know if I don't try, right? I've lived in MD/DC for most of my life, aside from short stints in NYC, Miami, and a little place called Ballston on the "other side" of the river. While it's easy to take for granted, now that I'm back in DC, I try to take advantage of the fact that I live blocks away from monuments, museums, etc. I love traveling and exploring new cities. I recently spent 2 weeks in New Zealand (amazing!) which has inspired me to take up photography - something I've been toying with for the last couple years.

I am an active person with a generally healthy lifestyle - exercise and eating right are important to me. Love the Food Network, and wish I could find more time to actually make the things they do! I also value downtime to just veg out and relax. Laying on the beach on hot summer days, grilling out in the backyard, or hosting crab feasts with a bunch of friends out on the deck are some of my favorite pastimes.

My family and friends are everything to me, and I'm looking for someone who shares those same values and has strong relationships. A best friend with a good heart and a great sense of humor. Someone who challenges me to be the best person I can be. I love learning new things and having a heated discussion with an intelligent person. My ideal match is someone who will hit the dance floor with me on a saturday night, and then be happy and content to just chill out and watch a movie the next night. I'm looking for a "partner in crime" to share life's adventures. In college, my roommate and I used to always say "Risk Nothing, Gain Nothing" - so in that spirit, here goes....
