About my life and what I'm looking for

not your typical New York woman! Really... Thus far, my life has been somewhat unconventional. I lived in Israel for 5 years and changed careers 6 years ago from commodity trading to emergency medicine. If nothing else, you now know I prefer working in a fast paced and challenging environment; I just like working with people better than with money. I'm adventurous, curious, independent, down-to-earth and love to travel and explore new cultures. The best places I've discovered are those you weren't even looking for! I've backpacked solo through Europe, SE Asia, Australia and a few other places. I recently returned from a 5 week overland camping trip in East and South Africa that was an amazing experience. I'd love to be on the Amazing Race- but I need to find someone who can drive stick shift and do the scary stuff- like bungee jumping. Are you game? I'm bright, warm, compassionate, and easy to talk to. I can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but soon become at ease. In certain circumstances, I am really assertive. Go figure! I like to read, cook (and often spring previously untried dishes on company), camp & hike, quilt, read & chill at the beach. My family and friends are important to me, and I value their love and support. What else- hmmm, I drink way too much coffee, love dark chocolate and ice cream.
